Audiobook
We were tasked to pick one of the popular fairytale stories and create a
maximum of 3 mins audiobook. This project requires us to voice acting with a suitable voice that could match with the scene. After we finish our voice
acting and voice editing, we need to add sound effects for a certain scene
to highlight the story and enhance the storytelling experience at the same
time.
Week 9 - 23.10.2020
AudioBook : Peter Pan
I first started to look for the fairy tale story on google but I couldn't
find any good visual for the script so I decided to look for it on youtube
and I found one which I've attached below:

Voice Acting :
I started off with a phone microphone but it realised that it has too many unnecessary noises that also been recorded at the same time. Then, I tried it with the earphone microphone and the quality was better and sounded brighter. Below are the drafts that I've recorded.

After a few recording sessions using the phone microphone, I realised that my voice acting on draft 1 wasn't on point. I practised more and more and it came to draft 2 with using earphone mic. I feel like it sounds better and acting was more emphasized.

Here is the first draft that I made:
Feedback: Mr. Razif commented on my draft saying that the pacing can be improved & narration is a bit slow and draggy, and the background effect could be louder. He also advised us to adjust the character tone based on the scenario. Some could be softer and some could be louder.

I made some amendment based on Mr. Razif's feedback, I made the pacing became quicker and adjusted the tone of each character. Lastly, I also adjusted the background music to become louder at some point. Here is the second draft that I made:

Week 9:
It was not easy to find the story at first because I was considering about the female voice acting, I wasn't sure that I could act up well but I eventually decided to try something new even though it only contains few dialogues. I showed 2 fairy tale stories to Mr. Razif to seek for the suggestion. I explained my ideas to him and he approved on one of the stories which were the Peter Pan story.
Week 10:
Looking for the sound effects that I wanted is way harder than I thought. Some of the sounds that I searched up on the internet are bad quality, some of it didn't sound natural at all and some of it needed to pay to download it. But in the end, I managed to gather all the sounds that I needed.
