Lecture 8: Critical Review
25/10/2019 (Week8) 

This week's lecture was about how to carry out the research methods that we have selected effectively.

1. Choose qualitative or quantitative or both

2. Know about questionnaire - read up

3. If you make questions:

• Justification 
• why you make that question 
• which group of people are you targeting
• why is it related to the research

4. Interview:

• has to be justified
• Experts in the field or general mass 
• research about research 

5. Observation - visual analysis

• Can be video or images

01/11/2019 (Week 9) 

I learned about the different research methods we could use to collect our data for our research. After understanding more about them, I decided to carry out 2 instruments as qualitative research based on my research objectives:

• Qualitative Method: Online Interview
• Qualitative Method: Visual Analysis

08/11/2019 (Week 10) 

Dr. Hayati checked my questions for email interview and she gave me some advice on what related questions need to be asked and every question need to come out with the justification.

Feedback: Dr. Hayati asked me that 6 questions is it enough to answer my research objective, then I realised the questions are not really enough so I come out with a new list of question.

Once my questions got comfirmed, I started to sending out my questions cause it takes time for interviewee to response my email or might not get any response so I have enough of time to look for others to do my interview.

I sent it to 4 freelance character designers and 1 animation company.

 After a week of no getting any response, I started to look for more designer and sent out immediately since week 11 is coming soon.

At week 13, I received the answers from Ms. Sandra Khoo.

1st attempt of research implementation:

Dr. Hayati checked my implementation slides and said that the visual of slides need to be improved cause it’s listed in criteria of MIB.
